Video Games Offer Virtual Rollerblading

If you think it’s only movies showing the pleasures of rollerblading, you’re mistaken. You don't have to grab a pair of rollerblades and skate away. You can do so by getting a video game at the nearest game store, pop it in your console and press the buttons of your joystick. These rollerblading video games give their players a feel of what it’s like wearing the skates on their feet without leaving their living room couches.

Take for example a classic rollerblading video game which was released in the 1990s. “Roller Racer” is for the NES console and is one of the earliest games that allowed the gamers to virtually wear rollerblades.

Amazingly, this “Roller Racer” is a bit on the real side, all because the concept of the whole game is to evade the obstacles that come in the rollerblader’s path. These obstacles include trash bin covers, patches in the road, other skaters and even wild dogs appearing out of nowhere and chasing you.

And then as the times progressed, game companies were able to lift the technology up a notch by offering their players a more pleasing virtual game concept – also with rollerblading.

But people are encouraged that instead of getting the feel of rolling away in front of the television, they might as well go out and wear the real pair so that they can get sunshine and be energized.

But before doing so, one must be advised to wear a helmet and protective pads at all times. Just like in “Roller Racer”, when the rollerblader is doing the real thing, he must steer clear of rough surfaces and the other obstacles that can be found in the middle of the road.

He should always be up on his toes so that he doesn’t lose his balance. Now in roller blading video games, all the person has to do is push the buttons here and there in order for their character to skate without any problem.

However, the real thing requires the rollerbladers to do more than just that. They should practice their wiggly toes. In fact, wiggly toes are the most important tip any rollerblader has to know in this activity. Once he has mastered this, he won't be daunted by the roughness of the road.

Then again, if you are in the mood to rollerblade but the weather outside isn't sunny, this is where your roller blading video games come in handy.
